Looking Forward to Christmas

Almost everyone loves the Christmas season. Many look forward to the traditions surrounding the holiday. This study reminds us that Christmas is, first and foremost, a celebration of Christ’s coming to earth.  Because of Him, we can look forward to hope, peace, joy, and love.

The Heart of Worship

Everybody worships. In every place, every culture, and every time, people are drawn to worship someone or something. This study will examine six aspects of worship to the God over all — the One who is truly God over all.

All Signs Point to Jesus

The apostle John purposely chose signs that underscore the person of Christ. As we engage with his Gospel, we deepen in our understanding of God’s Word and the One to whom the Scripture points.

Elisha: Seeing the Hand of God at Work

The stories from the life of Elisha point us to his faithfulness to obey God through meeting the needs of others. We are to be sensitive to the needs and hurts of others, stepping in to help and serve as Christ’s followers.

DISCIPLESHIP PATHWAY

Discipleship is the lifestyle of walking with God. This walk tends to follow a pathway as followers become more like Christ and advance His kingdom.

Every pathway has signposts—markers to show a person’s progress. Lifeway Research has identified eight signposts of discipleship—lifestyle patterns that ought to be growing in ever-increasing measure the longer a person walks the pathway of discipleship.

YOU Bible study curriculum is designed so that each of the following categories (signposts) are addressed over the course of a year. This ensures a balanced approach to Bible study as group members advance to spiritual maturity.

  • Engage with Scripture

  • Obey God and Deny Self

  • Serve God and Others

  • Share Christ

  • Exercise Faith

  • Seek God

  • Build Relationships

  • Live Unashamed
