Here's a video clip from Session 6 of the Children of the Day Bible study by Beth Moore.
Over the last several years, God has fanned an insatiable flame in me to keep growing and developing as a servant of Christ and to see others mobilized in their callings and propelled forward in their effectiveness. Some of you are already actively and effectively fulfilling your life’s work and, for you, parts of this week may not be new. Please press on with us for two reasons:
For a fresh reminder that your life has great significance and perfect timing
For encouragement to train and mobilize others with your own adaptations of similar concepts
If you are effectively serving, then you are called to help others do likewise. We’ll start with the basics and transition throughout our week of study into more complex concepts. First, we can’t move forward into a fresh equipping and increased anointing for what we’ve been called to do until we’re convinced that we have a ministry.
Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If your answer is yes then, child of God, you have a ministry. We will use the word “ministry” this week as the overarching title for the way we’ve each been called to serve Christ. Your ministry is the ever-accruing collection of your life works for the glory of God. It’s not about where you receive a paycheck; it’s the means by which you live out your divine purpose. It can take place in secular or sacred environments. In fact, God fulfilling in you what you were born to do can render a secular environment beautifully sacred.
