We live in a society that constantly challenges us when it comes to sexuality. Thankfully, God doesn’t leave us to find the answers on our own: He shows us His design for sex, relationships, marriage, and gender in His Word. This study will take you through God’s Word to answer some of the toughest questions about love, sex, gender, and relationships. We will learn that it is possible to embrace God’s design by loving Him and others with both our bodies and our souls. We will learn how we can show love to those who live outside God’s design and that God’s love heals wounds.

In this 9-session Bible study, Sean McDowell takes us through God’s Word to answer some of our toughest questions about love, sex, gender, and relationships.

Videos Sessions

• Session 1: Trust God (12:00)—In session one, Sean challenges students to trust God’s plan for love, sex, and relationships, even though it doesn’t align with the way the world sees it. He helps students trust that God’s plan is for our good.
• Session 2: True Freedom (12:16)—In session two, Sean explains that true freedom is not doing whatever you want without restraint, but in living according to God's design.
• Session 3: Real Love (12:51)—In session three, Sean looks to Scripture to find a definition of real love. He explains what real love looks like and how to practice it in your daily life.
• Session 4: God’s Grace (13:55)—In session four, Sean delves into the reality of God’s grace. He helps students understand that God stands ready to forgive and restore no matter how they may have failed or struggled in the past.
• Session 5: God’s Design (12:47)—In session five, Sean explains God’s design for sex. He helps students see that God’s good design for sex is one man and one woman, uniting their lives in marriage, for one lifetime.
• Session 6: Relationship Status (13:06)—In session 6, Sean dives into the nature of relationships and how God can use people, whether they are single or married. Both have great value to God’s kingdom.
• Session 7: LGBTQ Issues (14:56)—In session 7, Sean discusses the issues surrounding people who identify as LGBTQ. He reveals God’s design and God’s redemptive plan for people who may have struggles or temptation in these areas.
• Session 8: Abuse and Pornography (13:03)—In session 8, Sean examines the damage caused by sexual abuse and pornography as well as the healing God can bring.
• Session 9: The Challenge (11:53)—In session 9, the final session of Chasing Love, Sean answers some important questions about sex, relationships, and LGBTQ issues, and he encourages us to remember that God enables us to live faithfully.
