What do these issues have in common? They can be divisive and are sure to inspire passionate opinions. But they are also important and impact our world greatly. Should the church avoid them at all costs? No. The Bible has a lot to say about these issues.

This 6-session study will help students learn how to think biblically about these topics and more. In this ever-changing world, biblical truth is rapidly being swallowed up. Students need to be equipped with tools to help them lovingly and kindly engage in conversations about these difficult topics. This study will help students address cultural issues with clarity and boldness.

Video Sessions
Session 1: How to Take a Stand (6:05)—In the first session, Sean challenges students to be people of conviction who follow God no matter what the cost might be.
Session 2: Relationships (7:18)—In Session 2, Sean uses the issue of race to frame how we should approach relationships—to live out James 1:19. Be quick to listen and slow to speak.
Session 3: Sex (6:43)—Session 3 wrestles with the tricky topic of sexuality. Sean explores how we must trust in God even when it doesn’t make sense and how the sexual ethic of Jesus is far superior to any other.
Session 4: Care (6:35)—In Session 4, Sean uses climate change as a case study for how Christians can think biblically and engage in conversations with others in kindness and love and without getting defensive.
Session 5: Culture (6:32)—Session 5 dives into cultural influences, and Sean explains that what we see affects how we think and behave.
Session 6: How to Love Your Neighbor (6:51)—Jesus calls His followers to love their neighbor. In session 6, Sean gives practical tips for how we can obey Jesus’s command.
