Breakout Sessions
We live in an event-driven world and our calendars are crammed. So what if you could create events that impact women's lives (and the kingdom of God) forever? In this session, we will talk about the nuts and bolts of cultivating events for small groups, mid-size ministries, and large communities all while focusing on the intentional ministry of event planning.
Someone asked this question once and I’ve never been the same! We know we all need friendships and community, but how do we make these types of connections that will be both practical and encouraging? God’s Word speaks directly to the importance and in this session, we will learn how to do this.
How to study your Bible and help others study theirs Matthew 28 gives all believers the command to be discipled and make disciples but how does that really work? Are we really suppose to be able to read God's Word on our own and teach others how to do the same? YES! And the process is more fulfilling and life-giving than you can imagine. Join us as we see just how sweet it is to learn to study God's Word and then pass it along through the S.U.G.A.R. process.
If you are looking to begin or breathe new life into your women’s ministry, this workshop is for you! Loaded with practical tips to help you build a culture of genuine connectedness, transparency, spiritual depth, encouragement, missional focus and fun. We’ll tackle some of your toughest challenges and how to inspire women to use their gifts to invest in others
Let’s throw out our preconceived ideas of who we need to be and what we need to do to best help other women grow spiritually. Vickey brings 40+ years of discipling and mentoring experience to this session and is eager to share an exciting variety of encouragement, structured and unstructured methods, and practical resources. Let’s fish for women and equip them to do so too!
Do you ever have trouble connecting the dots between God's Word and your everyday life? Learn a highly practical and easily passable tool for applying God's Word whether you are hearing, reading, studying or memorizing it. This workbook is highly interactive, so you will actually practice using it in class. This tool is a gift to your personal relationship with God and to helping others grow in theirs.
Have you been called to lead women in your local church? Whether you are starting from scratch or in the process of rebuilding, this session will guide you through some basics in assessing your situation and moving forward. Learn principles from the book of Nehemiah and see how the why of ministering to women hasn't changed – the methods have.
Have you wondered what the debate between complementarians and egalitarians is all about? In this session, we will not only look at those two perspectives, but also delve into what that means and what that looks like as we think about ministry to women. The focus will be on developing a biblical perspective of women by discussing key biblical passages and examining the lives of the women in the Bible.
Have you found yourself in a cross-cultural setting or been on a mission’s trip and felt nervous about sharing the Gospel? Or even with friends and family? Come and discuss issues related to sharing the Good News in your neighborhood, community, and to the ends of the earth.
Who poured into you when you were younger? Who do you wish you had? The reality is you have everything you need to reach the next generation, yet it can feel overwhelming when you have so much else on your to-do lists. Let’s stop over complicating what discipleship is and get practical on what it can look like to make disciples of the next generation!
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life's pressures? You're not alone. Each of us faces daily challenges, striving for peace amid the chaos. Join us as we explore three key areas of stress in our lives, gain practical tools for dealing with stress, and discuss how to lead the next generation toward the peace God desires.
