Breakout Sessions
Have you been called to lead women in your local church? Whether you are starting from scratch or in the process of rebuilding, this session will guide you through some basics in assessing your situation and moving forward. Learn principles from the book of Nehemiah and see how the why of ministering to women hasn't changed – the methods have.
Who poured into you when you were younger? Who do you wish you had? The reality is you have everything you need to reach the next generation, yet it can feel overwhelming when you have so much else on your to-do lists. Let’s stop over complicating what discipleship is and get practical on what it can look like to make disciples of the next generation!
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life's pressures? You're not alone. Each of us faces daily challenges, striving for peace amid the chaos. Join us as we explore three key areas of stress in our lives, gain practical tools for dealing with stress, and discuss how to lead the next generation toward the peace God desires.
Prayer is the most important call in the life of a Christian woman. It is the lifeline to our Heavenly Father who desires to be in a close relationship with us. Let's look together at what God's Word says about prayer and discuss ways to take the "negative stigma" and "dread" out of how to pray by learning to experience the joy of spending time with Jesus.
Mental health issues are rising at alarming rates in the church! We live in unprecedented times, face insurmountable pressure and uncertainty is all around us. In the midst of a changing world, there is an epidemic of mental health issues affecting everyone. In this session, we will use God's Word as our guide to identifying resources and tools that will help equip you as a leader to create an open and safe environment where women can be encouraged to break the silence, learn how to take off the masks they wear to hide the pain they are facing and to expose the lies and stigmas that keep them in mental bondage.
Christian women of this generation must navigate through a myriad of landmines. We live in an explosive culture where anything goes and where wrong is right and right is wrong. This mindset has permeated our society and repeatedly denies the existence of God, morality, values, family, and gender identity while continuing to question the validity of Christianity. It’s time to defend our faith! This session will look at biblical ways to lovingly and confidently apply the practical knowledge of apologetics to remove roadblocks that hinder conversations with unbelievers in the world today, and to be able to give a reason for the hope that lies within us (1 Peter 3:15).
In what we call the greatest commandment, Jesus tells us to love God first. Then, he tells us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We’ll talk about ways to love ourselves that leads to an overflow in which we can love and serve others well.
You have heard it said, "Begin with the end in mind." As we lead with the end goal of finishing well, there are certain leadership lessons that will help us stay the course such as avoiding burnout, overlooking the opinions of others, and making the most of every opportunity. Learn how to lead well as you reach for the finish line. (Hebrews 12: 1)
Do you question if you are up to the task of leading women? You, like me, may identify with Moses' response when God called him to lead the Israelites, "Who am I that I should go?" (Exodus 3:11) You can be confient that God did not make a mistake when He called you to lead. Learn how to overcome feelings of inadequacy and lead with confidence. God has chosen you to lead for such a time as this!
As a Christian and women's leader, you operate in the midst of a battle. The Bible tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). Learn what the Bible teaches about our enemy, Satan, his tactics and our means for victory.
